How SaMi Programme Works Across Government Levels

The SaMi Programme operates through a coordinated, multi-level approach—working closely with federal, provincial, and local governments to promote safe, orderly, and responsible labour migration. By strengthening institutional capacity, supporting policy development, and ensuring access to essential services, SaMi creates a comprehensive system that protects migrant workers and their families at every stage of the migration cycle.

Federal Level

At the federal level, SaMi collaborates with MoLESS and key national institutions to strengthen migration governance, policy implementation, and legal support systems while ensuring access to psychosocial and consular services.

Provincial Level

SaMi supports provincial governments in developing labour and employment policies, designing strategic programmes, and allocating resources to improve migration-related services and institutional capacity.

Local Level

At the local level, SaMi strengthens the capacity of governments to deliver safe migration services, provide referrals, and ensure accessible support systems for migrant workers and their families.
